Conventional steel mezzanines are utilized to take advantage of unused building height and convert it into usable floor area. They are designed to enhance operational efficiency and allow you to gain more space without the cost of expanding horizontally. These versatile structures create new areas for manufacturing, storage, and offices and can be added at the start of a project or after as required.
We offer onsite welding of structural components that increase reinforcement, and for site modiﬁcations to support parts of existing buildings. Field welding is utilized when the stability of a structure needs to be increased because of extra modiﬁcations being made to an existing building, or when an engineer decides that the new building will require extra support because of what the building itself is being utilized for.
Cladding are layers of material placed over the outside construction layer to prevent moisture from building up on the surface and within the property. Cladding comes in a variety of materials and styles for both practical and aesthetic purposes. Roof and wall claddings add an architectural appeal to the building’s property value, while providing thermal insulation and weather resistance.
A custom lifting device is utilized to install large complete wall sections, using cranes or telescopic material handlers. The wall section is then placed on the wall with precision allowing the crew to fasten the section to the supporting substrate. This system allows up to 650 sq. ft. of wall section to be installed all at once, which relieves labour costs, increases productivity and improves quality & safety on the job site.
Insulated metal panel systems should be considered for the construction of both roof and walls in any type of new building renovations. These unique panels consist of energy efficient and durable materials and are aesthetically appealing. The insulated panels hold superior thermal, air-tight designs that lower the overall energy consumption and carbon footprint of the building. The lightweight modular system features thermal insulation, vapour barrier, weatherproofing, fire resistance, and finish.
Translucent roof and wall paneling systems allow for natural light to enter the building, reducing energy costs and improving work conditions by utilizing natural light. These systems can be installed during or after roof installations.
Over the years of erecting buildings CMB has noticed the increased amount and complexity of components being added to the buildings. After an immense amount of research, we found that these components are being added to make up strength that has been removed from the main frames of the building. This in turn is adding a significant increase in labour costs and construction time frames. In most cases the labour cost is outweighing the savings cost on the initial purchase of the building system, not to mention the time and money it adds to the overall project schedule and carrying costs. CMB said there has to be a better way, and that is where Hybrid Structures comes in. We looked at the price vs cost and realized it was much more beneficial and economical to add the weight back into the structure coupled with simplistic components and industry leading erection methods. This allows us to reduce labour costs and erection time frames up to 30% that of standard pre-engineered building systems.
Our systems can accommodate single or multi-story units, flat or sloped roof types, and can handle various wall types (e.g. concrete tilt up panels, masonry, insulated or single skin metal panels, precast panels, steel stud, curtain wall, etc.).
